The walkaround is based on the work of Ned Herrmann, a former manager of management
education at General Electric, noted for his study and applications of brain
dominance. The fact that we prefer certain styles of thinking, sometimes
exclusively but more often in varying degrees. Understanding this about
ourselves and others can contribute to our success in communicating. If one is
trying to reach a particular type of listener, one or more of the above can
dominate. If the audience is more general, there will have to be some
trade-offs.
